A Mobile App for Restaurant Food Waste

Food waste and unsold food in India’s restaurant industry present a major gap that requires a solution.

What was the
problem?

In India, tons of edible food are wasted daily. Restaurants and bakeries struggle with surplus inventory, leading to spoilage and lost profits. Meanwhile, many people lack access to affordable food. This creates a critical disconnect: abundant, nutritious food goes to waste while people go hungry.

Solutions
Assumption?

A mobile app connecting restaurants, bakeries, and individual sellers with value-conscious consumers could bridge this gap. By allowing businesses to sell surplus food at discounted prices, we can reduce waste and generate revenue. Consumers can access affordable, quality food, saving money and fighting hunger.
